…because in the midst of real heartaches that women are experiencing (I hear other customers talk of divorce, cancer, death, etc.) these women are still validating life and doing something positive for themselves, and it’s so true that no matter what is going on in their lives, if they can get to that appointment, all is not lost.

Wonderful interview, Pam! And I’m so happy to meet Robbie through your blog, and I would love if she had a book available for Mother’s Day! This project is so dear, and especially so because it values true beauty and wisdom. And I love the idea of the Beauty Salon! And it is so true about the discussions that go on there, it is almost like a therapy session, but so much more, because in the midst of real heartaches that women are experiencing (I hear other customers talk of divorce, cancer, death, etc.) these women are still validating life and doing something positive for themselves, and it’s so true that no matter what is going on in their lives, if they can get to that appointment, all is not lost.
This is so touching and so heart-warming! I really love it.

Great interview. The next project would be for Robbie to visit barbers across the country and hear the stories of our older men and how they feel about the aura of the barbershop and the lifelong friends made there.
