30 Rock star Tina Fey wore this dress by Zac Posen to the Golden Globes last week and it was not received warmly by many fashion critics. You can click here to see a better picture. One site called it an “unadulterated disaster.” Some of the issues with it were the busy pattern, the “dowdy” tea length and the unflattering tiers. They also compared it to a bad “80′s prom look.” Another said she looked like Little Bo Peep. People can be just so cruel.
How do you feel about this dress? Do you think it was a real fashion blunder?

The dress was not only a blunder!! Those pink shoes topped off the blunder. Ha ha What was she thinking?
The length coupled with the……… “poofiness” isn’t very flattering. The shoes don’t seem to fit the dress either. Was it raining or is that umbrella a prop? It would be so hard to be called a fashion disaster in the media- how embarrassing! Especially when you have the money + a stylist to make you look good.
Maybe has she worn some jewelry, ditch the umbrella, and wore black hells. Maybe would have balanced out the poofiness? Lets hope she didn’t pay a stylist?
OH MY!!! Sorry for the type error!!
Oh, my eyes! Should not have clicked on the “better” picture. When I saw it on tv, I couldn’t get past the pattern of the fabric to even take in the whole dress. Yes, it was raining.
I love Tina, though, and she looked fabulous at the Screen Actors Guild award the next week.

I like the style. The material is a little busy, but I like the poofs. I agree w/Mary, black heels would have improved and balanced her look.
If the dress was floor length it would have helped out a lot.
I can’t say anything bad about Tina. She’s my girl!
I actually don’t think it’s that bad. It did poof out a little in an odd way and I agree a black pump would have been better, but she looks fine to me.
As for the umbrella, it was raining in southern California that day and I guess Mr. Mariah Carey wasn’t available to hold all the ladies umbrellas!

Anya, too funny.
This dress is not something I could ever wear but I also don’t think she looks that bad. I am sure she had many choices and I do wonder what the thought process is in selecting a gown for such an event. Especially this gown.
I did see Mariah Carey’s dress and I also noted how a lot of different sites referred to her “own globes.” That was quite the revealing dress.
I was actually surprised by how much criticism the dress got – I didn’t hate it. I thought it was well fitted, and thus flattering at least in that sense. I actually think it looks better closer up, where you can see the pattern more; in the pic here it just looks stripey.
Yeah, I don’t know what was with the shoes, though.
I thought there were a lot of underwhelming dresses at the GGs. Hopefully the Oscars will be better (or worse! – at least that would be more interesting!).
