It’s hard to believe eight weeks have passed since DWTS premiered. Doesn’t it seem like just last week that Kate was announced as a cast member? It doesn’t seem so long ago that we were texting “3410″ or voting for Kate with as many email accounts as we could muster. Time moves too quickly for us all. Who can believe it is almost Memorial Day?!
Anyway, we are down to the semi-finals. One person will be eliminated this week and next week – Week 10 – will be the finals consisting of the three remaining stars.
This is what the stars are dancing this week:
Evan/Anna – Paso Doble and Fox Trot.
Nicole/Derek – Argentine Tango and Cha Cha.
Erin/Maks – Paso Doble and Viennese Waltz.
Chad/Cheryl – Samba and Viennese Waltz.
Conventional wisdom says it will be Chad’s turn to bow out. Conventional wisdom is great, but you know what is even better? When there is a surprise! I just don’t want the “surprise” to be Erin leaving, so let’s remember to vote for our other favorite blond – ok?
Personally, I would be quite happy with an Erin-Evan-Chad finale. What about you?

FYI, Kate will a special correspondent covering DWTS for Entertainment Tonight. Looks like she will appear this Monday-Wednesday.
I’m Erin, Evan and Chad all the way, Anya! I’d be happy to see any of them win!
I never watch ET but will have to record it so I can see Kate as the correspondent. Good for her to get some more little gigs!
I’m excited but nervous for Erin. I like Chad but really want Erin to make it to the finals. I will be voting lots for her tonight!
(Thanks for the reminder about Kate on ET – I’ll have to tune in when I get home from work.)
I am rooting for Erin all the way! I am glad to see that Kate will be host on ET tonight. How far has Kate come! I truly am so proud of how she has turned everything into a positive for her and the kids.
I enjoyed last night so much. I have to agree with the host and judges, that this has been one of the best seasons yet. Everyone did a great job.
Ugh. DialIdol is predicting Erin will be voted off.
Does anyone know how accurate they have been?
It was really good last night. It’s hard when it gets down to four because usually then everyone left really is good and it’s a shame that anyone has to go home.
I so hope it’s not Erin, though.
Chad got voted off tonight. He did a great job, and I really enjoyed him. I’m glad Erin stayed, though.
We have to give Erin a chance and vote next week! You can text, go online and call the number!!!! Erin is such a sweetie and shes so funny….such a class act! I just can’t fathom Nicole “i do this for a living” Scherbut winning!
I think they have the right 3 couples for the finals. I also am rooting for Erin. Marie I agree I think Nicole is a wonderful dancer but ……..the majority of her background is in dance and theater. It just rubs me the wrong way due to the premise of the show. Did you all see Kate in the audience when Evan danced? She actually was wiping away tears of joy on his one performance.
That blue dress was smoking hot!
Yesterday Popeater had a article on how they were dreading Kate coming back to DWTS from “inside sources” which kinda ruffled my feathers
If she is so disliked how come she is doing the special interviews with ET this week?”
Diane,
This article responds to the Popeater article.
I am rooting for Erin also.
I thought Kate did a good job on ET. She’s still a little stiff when reading lines, but otherwise she was very natural. Tonight’s show will be the real test, when she has to interview Chad after he finds he is leaving.
I guess those dancers are good actors, too, because they managed to hide their disgust and disdain for Kate when she talked to them. It must have been hard for them to hug and kiss her after the hell she put everyone through. Or, maybe she didn’t cause trouble, and they like her fine.

I completely agree. Erin is funny. It makes me wonder how she would do if she pursued some sort of career in comedic acting. It would probably a big transition, but she has got the likeability and personality part down, for sure, IMO.
Kiki, I agree, Kate did a good job. I think she actually does better speaking off-the-cuff. I think reading lines naturally is something you can work and improve on. Speaking impromptu and being interesting while doing so, is more of a talent and I think Kate has that.
