It’s late and I’ll have more to say tomorrow, but I want to go on record as liking January Jones’ controversial dress. It’s weird, but it works for me.
Like: -Tina Fey
-Elizabeth Moss
-Amy Poehler (she just had a baby!!!)
Don’t Like
-January Jones (sorry, Jennie!). And to top it off, she did nothing with her hair. She is still a beautiful woman, but come on.
-Lauren Graham
-Kristen Wiig
The absolute worst is Rita Wilson’s. Yuck. I also did not like Anna Paquin’s, or Lauren Graham’s (which Jezebel likes, but it looks like a big billowy mess to me).
Kate’s dress looks better in the pic at Jezebel – in the other pic I saw, I was distracted by what seemed to be a contrast in the blacks on the bodice and the rest of the dress – the bodice (whatever that thing was) was black-black, and the skirt was dusty black. It’s still not my favorite, but I don’t hate it or anything.
I liked Elisabeth Moss’ and Amy Poehler’s dresses, though the degree to which I liked them may be mixed up in how much I like the actresses themselves. Similarly, with Christina Hendricks and Mindy Kaling, I kind of like the dresses but I think it may be just that I adore both actresses; I wonder if these were four different actresses if I would not care one way or another about Moss’ and Poehler’s dresses and I would dislike Hendricks’ and Kaling’s. All four are so cute, though!
Claire Danes’ dress is gorgeous (as is Claire Danes, even if I’m never gonna get over her stealing Billy Crudup from a hugely pregnant Mary Louise Parker).
Not sure if I like Emily Deschanel’s or not. I disagree with you Nancy on Edie Falco’s – I thought it was really boring.
I really liked Sarah Hyland’s, though she seems kind of young for the dress.
I also liked Diana Agron’s and Tina Fey’s dresses, and no one is going to change my mind about January Jones’ at this point. Lalala I can’t hear you!
I did not like Lauren Graham’s dress but I love Lauren Graham and I love her new show Parenthood. It looked like a parachute.
Susan Sarandon and her daughter looked lovely and I thought their dresses were beautiful.
Heide Klum’s attire was interesting but she is gorgeous and can pull off just about anything.
Claire Danes – absolutely gorgeous.
Nixay on January Jones.
Below is a really funny statement but so true.
Actor Ty Burrell of “Modern Family” in a gray tuxedo with wife Holly in a dress that Washington Post fashion critic Robin Givhan commented looked “as if she were a just-married car.”

O-U-C-H
Susan Sarandon and her daughter DID look very pretty.
I really need to check out “Parenthood.” I love Lauren Graham, but her dress was ODD.
Claire Danes has rec’d a lot of well-deserved press for her beautiful dress. I just have a “thing” against her for being involved in any way with the break-up between Mary-Louise Parker and Billy Crudup. Not that I am excusing Billy AT ALL, but the fact that Ms. Danes got involved with a man whose girlfriend was several months pregnant shows a big character flaw (hopefully she has corrected it).
