It appears that Brett Favre is close to signing with the Minnesota Vikings. This guy has flip-flopped more than the head cook at IHOP. Retired, ready to play, retired, ready to play, retired, ready to play and on and on and on. To make it worse he is signing with the hated rival Vikings! Pretend you heard today that Nancy Pelosi was becoming a Republican (not that we would have her)! I hope the Vikings go 0-16.
Brett, please go away.

That’s Jeff for you, always equating it to something political. Retire already, Brett. Actually, I hope you play and Rodgers kicks your behind. When is the first game between the Packers- Vikings? I want to buy a ticket .
LOl, I wondered what he was doing, because I thought he was retired.
I don’t follow football so the political analogy helped me to understand. It sounds like it makes it interesting for the fans.
October 5th at the Vikings – November 1st at home. The ticket prices sky rocketed on the November 1st game. Lot’s of mixed feelings out there on this one. I feel if Favre needed to do charity work he should have choose one of the many nursing homes out there to volunteer at!
Jeff,
Since I’m a Packer fan, I feel that I can speak on this subject with a little more authority than you, a Bear’s fan can. My feelings can be summed up as such:
We will never forget you Brent. How did you spell your last name again?
There’s a reason why we put you out to pasture. If the Queens think they can make hay with a broken down nag, then they should have at it.
On another note, when comparing #4 to female politicians, the correct comparison would be to Sarah Palin and not Nancy Pelosi.
#4 and Sarah Palin are both lying, narcissistic, drama queen hillbillys, that need to be shunned before their egos grow to such an enormous size that they threaten to block out the sun.
Regards from the frozen tundra.
Ummmm…..I’m laughing at the previous responder but must agree on a more serious note that homeboy needs to retire.
My husband was just talking about this today in total disgust. Retire already Brett, retire!
Oooh, I am loving this post! So funny.
As a casual fan, I always kind of liked Favre. Really, I can’t think of him without thinking of the movie “There’s Something about Mary.”
He always appeared to me to be hardworking and a team player. I kind of gave him a pass on his actions last season, but this is just getting silly and I think he is tarnishing his legacy.
On the other hand, he is giving fans a lot to banter about!
I agree that he is tarnishing his legacy, though perhaps not in the long-term. It seems like a lot of great athletes go through this when it’s time to retire. (Maybe not-so-great ones do as well, but we don’t hear about them and they aren’t given as much chance to keep making fools of themselves.)
I never got over Joe Montana leaving the 49ers. Though I liked Steve Young, too, and understood the franchise’s desire to move forward.
I guess what I’m saying is that even if Brett is being a jerk and dufus, I kind of feel for him.
I think someone better calm down the crazed, rum drinking, river pirate from the Frozen Tundra before football season starts. He doesn’t seem to be too frozen right now
More rum required.
I saw this on the crazed, rum drinking’s Facebook page today.
And this one on my brother-in-laws Facebook’s page.
I hope the Vikings have good health insurance. They are going to need it!
