What are you doing for Valentine’s Day?
Are you taking a special someone out to eat? Are you making heart crafts with your preschooler? Are you being wined and dined? Do you have any special memories from past Valentine’s Days that you’d like to share? We’d love to hear from you!

I’ll start. I haven’t a clue what we are doing. I have no idea. None.
My H is working that afternoon at 3pm so we can only do breakfast/brunch/lunch IF we do something. I always get him some kind of gift, but haven’t figured out what yet.
For our toddler, I have an assortment of $1 Toy Story/Buzz Lightyear things and I’ll probably make a batch of cupcakes so he can do the sprinkles!
Any ideas on what I can do for the grandparents from the little one?
Ideas please!
I always do a goody basket for our daughter. Normally my husband and I go out and his mother watches our little one but she is out of town so I’m not sure. We may just make it a redbox family night in.
I used to do gifts from our little one to all the grandparents but it just got to be too much every year. Now we do cards and leave it at that.
This day just snuck up on me for some reason! I was in a coffee shop this morning that also sells candy and I saw all these people with baskets full of red and pink stuff and I am like “why are they starting their shopping so early?” Duh, idiot – it’s Sunday!
No clue what I am doing, but even though the day is a bit commercial, a day devoted to love is not something to be ignored.
If nothing else, I always get my daughter a small-ish gift and a box of chocolates. Yep, I’ll probably be one of those you see out on Saturday doing it last minute!
It’s my mom and dad’s (and my aunt and uncle’s) anniversaries, so I will be calling them. I’m not actually celebrating V-Day for another 3 weeks, when I go back to San Francisco to visit my boyfriend.
Jasmin,
Happy anniversary to your mom and dad and your aunt and uncle. How many years? Hope you have a great time in 3 weeks.
My husband and I will do what we normally do on weekends. Spend time together. Maybe we will go out to eat Sunday night.
I hope everyone has a nice day with whatever they decide to do or whoever they spend it with.
We took our little one to Chuck E Cheese. It was as crowded as I’ve ever seen it. So loud! But she had a blast. Last night my husband and I went to see From Paris With Love- which I planned on hating but loved! And then to dinner afterward. I think we were home by 9:30!
We went to church, to look at houses (that we will not be buying) then off for a fabulous lunch at a Mexican restaurant with yummy tamales. They offered two-for-one desserts, so we brought home the leftovers and stayed for fried ice cream. I a small pack of candy for each of my children and a Reese’s peanutbutter heart for my husband.
Hubby was under the weather a bit so we didn’t do anything. We gave each other a card. It is kind of funny, xmas and valentines cards had similar messages, different cards of course but really unique to our relationship and how we feel about each other.
