He was the hack who wrote a book on the Gosselins earlier this summer that sold about .00001 percent of what Kate’s books have sold. One interesting fact Al revealed, however, is that Jon has received regular payments in the past from paparazzi for allowing access to both himself and his children for “candid” photos.
I think opinion was divided at the time as to whether Al was truthful on this point. Some believed it, some did not.
Fast forward to today. Recently, Infdaily.com has been branching out beyond supplying pictures to other tabloids and gossip websites. They are posting their pictures more frequently, updating content, and have moderators weigh in from time to time to answer questions from posters.
A poster sent the following very interesting discussion thread to us. Note, INF’s moderator, Jessica’s, statement at 10:59 a.m.:
“To clarify, INF has never paid Kate for pictures.”
This pretty much confirms what we already know. I have never suspected that Kate was doing anything to encourage the paparazzi or was being paid by them for pictures.
Jon on the other hand? Not sure. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I took under consideration what Al W. had to say, but I didn’t necessarily make up mind one way or another. That is until today.
Look at how a question asked about whether Jon was ever paid by INF gets promptly deleted. According to our source, Pete, this happened two separate times. What is INF hiding?

I wonder just how much money Jon made “working the fence ” at his country home as he called it; and how much has he made under the table selling pics to the paps? I wonder if the IRS is interested in Jon’s income…?
‘Smoking gun’…more like cannon fire! Whoever Pete is…he’s found a dilly! INF has been outed so many times, it was bound to catch up w. them. It’s no deep, dark secret that Jon’s own bodyguard, of yore, was hired AWAY from INF! The fact that current employee of INF, Chris lives in Reading is all too easy to figure out. Especially for those of us who loved Nancy Drew ;0)
Sylvia La’fake’ tried to recast that SAD INF video of Jon delivering the 6 back home…& then the INF pap who followed Jon on Father’s Day for a pap-free day in her Poconos feel good camp. Didn’t ring very likely. (I’m sure Ellen, riding gunshot in the van, was thrilled.)
Those pics of Jon carrying the big blanket/towel while picking up the 8 at the bus stop…? Jon is no Linus! Can anyone sell Jon some common sense?

Jon’s so called followers are naive and stupid ~ they believe any thing he says even when the truth is directly in front of their faces.

Note: I am on Jon’s side on this one. Al and the Nosy Neighbor/Werny Girl (isn’t she in her 50′s???) are just two more under-employed pushy people with a lack of self-awareness trying to make $$$ off of Jon and Kate.
As for whether Jon was paid for some of the pictures. I don’t really care. Well, I do to the extent that it might have encouraged the paps to hang around, but it is what it is. I just want the point clarified for all those who threw out accusations for the last several months — Kate was NOT paid.

Oh, I read a comment on INF that claimed that INF was parsing to avoid the truth about Kate being paid bccause CHRIS allegedly paid Kate, not INF directly. Seriously, someone claimed that. Their big proof was that the photos were taken which meant that Kate had to be in on it. This made me wonder if the Khaterz live in caves. If people’s consent and paying them was necessary, the paps would go out of business tomorrow. The reason that some celebrities openly enter into deals for wedding and baby pictures is to keep the paps from making their lives hell during major events by leaving the service with exclusive rights to fight off its competitors. Also, if there are official, high quality photos, then that diminishes what a pap can get. Kate has spoken on the show about, when they were on the shore last summer, of being so bedeviled by the paps that her people finally brokered a deal for a photo session with her and the kids in exchange for being left alone the rest of the vacation.
You don’t have to look for subtle proof about Jon and the paps/tabloids. Look at him taking an Insider film crew to pick up the twins for their birthday and, after he created such a stink that Kate withdrew her suggestion of separate times, he spent much of his time during the twins’ party on the lawn by the fence as he smoked, talked & texted on the cell phone, and chatted with his groupies and the paps.

Do I think it was OK of Al to write his book, which ended up being mostly about bashing Jon? No, not one bit more than if it had been about bashing Kate. But there are a couple of interesting points in that. If Al had any verifiable info which had the ability to stand up in court, to bash Kate with he would’ve.
Jon has clearly shown he is all about getting money with as little effort as possible and playing the vicitim. If Al’s book was a pack of lies, Jon would’ve had a solid case to sue the living daylight out of Al. Jon didn’t.
I read the book, the interview with Beth showed her to be the real deal.. classy, and a friend to the Gosselins. It was a heart tugging interview.
The behind the scenes stuff about the paps was pretty interesting, and it sounds like this all lined up with situations Al described.

Quite funny that INF would answer the question about Kate but delete the same question about Jon. It’s sickening to think he might have got paid for that video of the children crying at the gate.

My theory (and I certainly could be wrong) is that he was paid in the past, but not any longer. Jon is trying to rehabilitate his image, after all.
I understand why people suspect what they do. I have just seen so many times Kate has been accused of so many things she has not done with zero evidence. I think it is quite easy for the paparazzi to follow them both and I don’t think they necessarily have to be tipped off.
I just think it’s really unfortunate that Jon appears to be in cahoots with the paparazzi who are having such a negative effect on his childrens’ lives. I don’t understand what he could be thinking.
I don’t know what to think about the video of the children crying – the circumstances lead be to believe that the photo op was set up, but what troubles me is the idea that he got the kids riled up deliberately for the cameras. That I find…I won’t say hard to believe, but hard to accuse him of without direct evidence. Still, his behavior to date justifies the lack of trust some people have in him.
I went back to look, it is described as a background interview, it was not a full on interview. It includes a handful of quotes about the current situation. The few quotes illustrate that Beth Carson is a class act, and is first and foremost concerned about the long term well being of the Gosselins.
To be fair, I think Jon once said that he talked to the paps because they were less likely to keep pestering him if he gave them something. I do think he was getting paid by the paps at the time of twins last birthday but he had money problems at that point and seemed pretty desperate.
I don’t believe that Kate has gotten paid for any paps pictures but then again she is other money coming in from several sources not just TLC.

You’re probably right. My mind always goes to the dog video and the twin’s birthday. While he may work to have some videos set up (reading Kate’s book at Target), it would also violate his contract w/TLC if he was to accept payment. That would be a batch of new trouble I doubt he would want to deal with.
Smithy’s girl, I always liked Beth on the show. Whatever happened between the families, I think Kate & Beth both handled the situation well.
Besides the money factor, I can see Jon all too easily being manipulated by the paparazzi when they are being “friendly” – I’ve seen and heard enough video with audio to know that they can be ingratiating at times.
Remember awhile back when Jon was still allowed on the property and there was a bizarre situation between the pap friend of Jon’s and another pap? They were taking pictures of Jon and the kids and Jon’s pap friend told Jon to take the kids into the bushes and then Jon ordered lunch delivered there. It appeared that Jon’s pap friend did not want the other pap to get the pictures. I think it was ROL who played the video and you can clearly here the pap say take them into the bushes. To me that made it perfectly clear that Jon and the pap had a deal with the pictures.
I agree with sage. Nothing has changed and just maybe Jon is getting more desperate for money. The word is that the payments from TLC would stop this month so Jon may need the money and if he has been paid for all these recent incidents and the controversy they brought, Jon might be making a good amount of money off them. The bigger the controversy the bigger the paycheck. Come on, the paps or film crew are never there when Kate leaves or comes from the house with the kids but they sure are conveniently there whenever Jon has his visitation days and sometimes not only photos and film at the driveway but more when he arrives to wherever his destination is. This only takes common sense to figure out.
I don’t think anyone hates Jon but darn it, I for one sure wish he would grow up and stop playing these games with his children to make money and get back at Kate or disrupt something good happening to her. Come on, the staged van with the kids not crying and then crying after Jon says something to him, and then the kids crying for daddy to shut the van door because of the paps right there. That’s what they were crying about. They were clearly upset. Listen carefully and you will hear it. Then that poor little girl right next to the door was so upset about the pap being there. Jon gets mad and tells them to be quiet because it’s ruining his “plan” is disgusting.
All these stunts happened right after it was announced that Kate would be on the Emmy’s. Then the famous “towel” incident and then Jon parks as far away as possible from the school bus so the paps can get more photos. Oh and then there is the “finger” thing. That was way too obvious. He wants people to “think” he is protecting his kids from the paps but in reality he is encouraging it. He has always done this since the paps got into the picture. Then finally the announcement of Jon’s so called tell all book. Come one none of this is just by accident.
All most of us want is for Jon to stop these charades and realize there won’t be any media jobs out there for him for obvious reasons so he needs to find a regular avenue to find a job. Once he stops using his childrens for all these photo ops and his stunts for getting even with Kate and becomes a responsible grown up instead of acting like a kid needing attention, then and only then can any of us support Jon on his way back to being a responsible adult and a good father and role model for his children.

Of course Jon is getting paid!!! INF has admitted to it, and now Jon will have trouble selling his kids out again, as no one wants that reputation. Kate has taught her children to ignore the paps, but then everyone says “look, her kids are not happy”. The only true story lies between Kate and Jon and that’s where it should stay. Jon would sell anything for a few dollars, and soon he will have nothing to sell.
INF hides whatever makes THEM look bad. I called Jessica @INF out on naming names of people who apparently posted under different names in a certain article, calling her unprofessional, and she promptly responded that I was posting under different names, even after I said I didn’t post in that article. I didn’t. She LIED about it – why, I don’t know! She accused me of posting on the site under different names! She completely made it about something other than what I was talking about. My sister and I both use this computer, so it’s possible that she posted at INF from this computer, using a different name than I use, of course, but I wasn’t talking about the site, I was talking about the ARTICLE! When I told her she was lying (because I know for a fact that my sister didn’t post in that article prior to my post, and neither did I) and that I wanted an apology or I’d go to her superior, you can guess what happened. She DELETED it! LOL Even though I told her I would photograph the post to prove what I wrote, she still deleted it, and every other post I made at INF! She gets the final word, which is a lie – and I don’t even know how it benefits her in any way, to lie about ME, but it makes her look so unprofessional. I think everybody already knows what goes on at that place. It’s hater central. If you don’t hate Kate, they attack you! Very strange place! Sorry for the rant, but it’s infuriating that a place that is supposed to be a professional site, can be so sleazy. It’s not like it’s a ‘hater blog,’ it’s a GOSSIP site!
