Several news sources, including TMZ and FoxPhilly.com, are reporting that family court judge Arthur Tilson has ordered Jon Gosselin to return $180,000 to the bank account controlled by his wife and used to pay household expenses.
Jon Gosselin has two weeks to pay up or face contempt charges.
Kate has also been instructed to submit an accounting of expenses in time for the next appearance on October 26th.
We expect Michael Lohan will be speaking shortly about this matter.

So the additional $55,000 is still in dispute, but $180,000 is definitely meant to be in that account? Kate, of course, issued an excellent statement mentioning the kids and avoiding trashing Jon. She gets good advice (usually.)
Has anyone seen a statement by Jon? He’d be wise NOT to let Michael Lohan speak for him. Actually, I hope he remains quiet.

I had read that the judge asked both J&K to keep quiet regarding the rest of the proceedings for the sake of the kids. Maybe Jon has decided to follow the judge’s guidance.

Kimmie, you are so right on! I haven’t gone to gwop for a long time. Seriously, they used to really frustrate me too. Same posts from the same people. Then, I realized it’s all sockpuppets and bitter, jealous women making up lies.
Normal, decent people can see through them and their lies and their bitter jealousy.

Both lawyer’s made a statement and both Kate and Jon have commented on the outcome.
Kate’s lawyers statement -
“Mr. Gosselin must repay this sum on or before Oct. 26. “If he fails to do so, he must appear before the court for contempt proceedings. The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date.”
Jon’s lawyers statement -
“All of the attorneys on both sides worked very hard. We are very pleased with the outcome of the court proceeding and the arbitration session. We are very hopeful that there will soon be a resolution.”
Both Kate and Jon have commented-
Kate – “As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. “Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues.”
Jon (tweeted) – “Today was a long day. Today the court divided my family …”
I am for one happy to see that the truth is coming out . I said in a previous post that I do believe Kate has her ducks in a row when it comes to the finances. Jon continues to divide his family with his behaviour and his statements. Kate does not throw Jon under the bus he does a great job all by himself .

Jon Gosselin’s lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, released a statement saying there was no proof that the $55,000 was used for family expenses.
“It may very well be determined that very substantial sums of money which Kate has failed to account for might have been misapplied and misused by Kate,” Heller said.
“As of now, Jon Gosselin chooses to give Kate the benefit of doubt,” Heller said.

Theresa, I don’t think Jon is going to be quiet. I have wondered if he would be able to keep his mouth shut even if there was a gag order. I think he is on Entertainment Tonight and Kevin has something to say on Inside Edition. The only thing I think Kevin should be doing is apologizing to Kate, but it doesn’t sound that way from the promo.
Jon should be glad the judge told them to be silent. He can use that as an excuse not to answer the burning questions everyone has, ” so Jon you lied again and really did take more than the $22,ooo you said you took?”, “why are you such a liar Jon and what are you teaching your children?”, “Jon do you think that anyone will ever believe you again?”, “Jon since you did take the money, how are you going to explain to your kids that you not only took it but blamed their mother?” Whats the matter with this guy, doesn’t he know that the truth will come out and make him look worse?
So much for Jon staying quiet. Unreal. Of course now he has to give back the $180,000 he will need any compensation he can get and I am sure ET is paying him. Kevin, what can I say. He will lose any chance he may have had to have any relationship w/Kate and the kids if he goes on and disses her. He should be trying to heal his relationship w/his sister in private to try and mend the fence that he tore down in May. What is he going to say? His nieces and nephews are not being filmed (which is what he wanted), Jon and Kate are going into arbitration (which hopefully speed up the divorce decree), so what is there he can say w/o harming their relationship further and especially if he is getting paid by the t.v. show. Jon get a clue, staying out of the media means no appearances…. dummy…

Jon Gosselin Reveals Arbitration Details in New Interview
Jon Gosselin makes new admissions in his all-new interview with our Diane Dimond following his courtroom clash with estranged wife Kate Gosselin.
“Well, it was just after arbitration, we weren’t supposed to take money out of the restrictive account and we both did,” he tells Diane. “I was found in contempt for doing so, I didn’t realize, I was just like taking my paycheck out.”
Jon says he has been ordered to return $155,000 but admits he doesn’t know yet how much Kate owes back.
“It’s unaccounted for,” he says. “So by Friday, we’ll know her complete accounting, which might reduce my accounting, so I don’t know what’s going on.”
Jon says despite their ugly divorce proceedings, he did wish he could have spoken to Kate directly during Tuesday’s court hearing.
“Was there a part of you in that court, looking over at your soon to be ex that just thought, boy I’d like to just walk over there and say, honey we can work this out?” Diane asks.
“I thought about doing that, but you know, in a public setting as a public figure you have to watch what you say and do,” he says.

I’ve heard a rumor that the Inside Edition segment with Kevin may just be some old footage from May. Haven’t seen it myself, though. If Kevin or Jodi were to bash Kate at this point, it is hard to imagine they would be seen in a positive light by anyone.
Yes, I can confirm, the Kevin & Jodi stuff was from the GMA interview. I’m not sure what the point of showing it was.
Jon was on ET and the Insider. This is what he said to Diane Dimond about reconciling with Kate, “If I give love to you, and you don’t reciprocate it back, then nothing can be done.” I guess “despise” is a new term of affection.
Why does Jon keep saying he was just taking his “pay check”? Why would he think his pay check was in an account that he was paying child support into? So many of the things he says make no sense.
Can I just say once more how happy I am to have this site to refer to when I want to get my latest Gosselin chatter??! I couldn’t bear to go over to GWOP b/c it’s just a big waste of time wading through their different schemes and conspiracy theories about Kate, etc.
At least we are imperfect, yet intelligent women that can look at everything considering all sides.
All of that said, it has been absolutely comical to listen to Jon’s “blow by blow play” of the courtroom drama. Did anyone hear him describing in detail EXACTLY what Kate was wearing?? I don’t know why ET found that so interesting that they played the sound byte two or three times…is that supposed to be his declaration of love to her? What I thought was funny was when he said “she was wearing a grey shirt…” and from what it looked like to me, it was a purple shirt!haha!
And all the business about being a public figure…good grief!! Give me a break! He is indeed a public figure..and for ALL of the wrong reasons. He shouldn’t be so quick to elevate himself like that!

Jacquelyn, I thought the same thing. The other day there was a report on one of the shows that Hailey Glassman sent out a twitter that she was moving on now and that she and her family will always be friends with Jon. Can’t remember the exact wording but sounded like she may have broke up with him. This was on the same day of the court hearing. I am wondering if Jon’s love life is so desperate now that he is thinking of trying to get Kate back. If that is the case I don’t think he has a chance now as Kate finally removed her wedding ring. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes!! I’m starting to get more nervous as we get closer to the admission date, however I feel very blessed that my doctor allowed me to wait until Monday to be admitted so I could spend my daughter’s 15 birthday with her at home on Sunday. We’ve got a very fun “girl’s weekend” planned. It will be bittersweet because we all know what is coming next week! I just keep praying and putting my fears and concerns back into God’s Hands as He has never let me down before.
