Hello Imperfectwomen.com followers. I hope this first weekend in December finds you well and not too overwhelmed with holiday responsibilities. It was another relatively slow news week in Gosselin-Land, but we have managed to cull a few items of interest. Please share your reactions!

Kate Gosselin Is a Fascinating Person….According to Barbara Walters
After much speculation the last couple of weeks, it was confirmed that Kate Gosselin will join an eclectic group of individuals who made an impact in 2009. Airing Wednesday, December 9th, this will be Walters’ 17th presentation of her “10 Most Fascinating People” special. Kate joins Lady Gaga, Glenn Beck, Brett Favre, and Tyler Perry, among others.
“Nobody hit the scales harder this year than Kate Gosselin,’’ says Walters. “And this career is not over.’’

Kate Major Deposed
Kate Major, former “friend” of Jon, was deposed by TLC attorneys this week. And as seems to be the case with most of Jon’s former friends, she went blabbing to Radar.com the minute her deposition was over.
Major characterized her deposition as “pretty intense.” She continued her Woman Done Wrong Tour with a reiteration of previous claims – how Jon entangled her in his web after a whirlwind weekend romance and caused her to quit her job, blah, blah, blah. Something about this woman really fails to garner much sympathy.
When asked if she would sue Gosselin, Major replied, “Oh, you betcha! He messed with the wrong girl!” On that point, we can all agree.
Switzerland’s Ambassador Sticks to Neutral Position on Jon & Kate
The Daily Show’s John Oliver spoke to Ambassador Peter Maurer about Switzerland’s unshakable neutrality policy. Oliver can’t get the Ambassador to take a side on Israel vs. Palestine or Yankees vs. Red Sox. Will he break his neutral stance when it comes to Jon vs. Kate? i think kate major did trust jon and thought they were a couple and he really was giving her a wonderful job.

How old is Kate M. supposed to be? She looks like she’s in her forties (no offense to forty year olds).

Has anyone seen the promos for Table For Twelve, with a song about the “Twelve Hayes of Christmas”? It has pictures of the family doctored up to look like marionettes with the weird mouths and rouge spots on their cheeks. Very creepy looking. Surely it’s abusive and exploitive of their children (ha, ha).
I haven’t seen the Table for Twelve promos, but I’ll watch for it.
Kate Major is only in her twenties. I think she and Hailey both look a lot older than they are. I’m not sure why, but I wonder if it has to do with not having make-up people?

I like the Hayes family a lot. Very different from the Gosselins and that’s fine. They are different people and have their strengths and weaknesses as we all do, I am sure.
I didn’t want to comment on Major’s looks, but since it was mentioned – she is looking a little hard. I do wonder if a partying is to blame or perhaps the light just caught her in an unflattering way in that Radar interview – ?
Kimmie, to clarify, from my limited knowledge of the situation, it sounds like Jon did not treat Kate Major well. I just think she showed poor judgment in turning her life upside down for someone she had known for such a short period of time. Of course, she is more believable than Michael Lohan, but they are also supposedly friends. She would do well to start associating with a better class of people than Michael Lohan.
Yeah, I think Michael Lohan is a straight-up sleaze, whereas Major is a bit sleazy but mostly guilty of incredibly bad judgment.
The Hayses do seem very nice, just kind of boring. (I watched part of one of their new episodes. They went camping. In their backyard.) I just get tired of people saying how wonderful they are, not at all like that other family. They’re still getting paid to have their kids on tv.
Speaking of other families, there are reports that Michelle Duggar has been hospitalized with preeclampsia. I don’t think there have been any official announcements, but there are a lot of blogs by people in their area. I hope she and the baby will be all right.
That is really sad for Michelle Duggar and the rest of the family. I hope and pray everything is alright.

Kiki – I do hope Michelle Duggar and her baby make it through ok. I am sure that is very scary no matter who many children you have had.
I don’t watch the Duggers or Table of Twelve (if that’s the name of it). I have seen them each a few times, when there isn’t anything else on. The Duggers….. sweet it seems but odd the whole have babies till you burst. They seem to have a very intersting core in their religion and their love for eachother. I won’t judge it, just not my cup of tea. The Table… can’t quite put my finger on it, but I can’t watch more than 10 minutes of their show. I think J&K plus 8 was a joy to watch with those beautiful children. Jon and Kate seemed like a typical family having typical arguments…… but yes, they had some major dysfunction. I’ll miss the show. It has been the only “reality show” that I’ve ever watched.
I wonder how the Barbara interview will be. Kate Majors, either got swept off her feet or needs to put her feet on the ground and keep them there with the help of a good therapist.
Sadly, for me, it’s like the Gosselin Gang has rode off into the sunset………
