		<description>&lt;p&gt;Thanks for the informative article, Patrick. My kids are well past this stage now but I am happy to learn that there are a variety of things out there to keep kids engaged in some type of academics during the summer months.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As a parent, I would much rather have my child engage in some of the above mentioned activities than to sit and play video games all day long.  I like your Printable Bingo Card to keep the child engaged during the off time in the summer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am also hoping that kids will get outside and pursue more physical activities or even just free play during the summer months.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

		<description>&lt;p&gt;Great ideas! I think steering your kids to cell phone games (educational ones) is an excellent idea. Hopefully, they will find out that games like Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble are actually a lot of fun! I actually grew up playing these games &lt;em&gt;way before&lt;/em&gt; cell phones were invented. Imagine! :-)

Good luck to the moms trying to keep their kids busy this summer. I know it&#039;s not easy, but these resources are a good start.
