I hope everyone had a great weekend. I don’t really have anything weighing on my mind to talk about, LOL.
Does anyone have any special summer plans? My husband and I are taking a driving trip back home to Wisconsin. We will stop in Vegas, Utah, Denver and Iowa on our way back. We haven’t decided how we will go coming back to California. We are looking forward to the trip and seeing our family.
Pam, how many weeks will you be on your driving trip? I think you said you haven’t ever done anything like this before? What a fantastic opportunity to see so much of the U.S. while also seeing family.

I am trying to put together a little summer vacation. Right now I am researching Mexican vacation packages, but I haven’t made up my mind yet.
We will be gone several weeks. We did this trip once before back in the early 90s with our two sons. We took them through Salt Lake City, Yellowstone Park, Mt. Rushmore and on through the Badlands. We came back through Denver. Had a great time.
I’ve never taken a long road trip since my short road trips (6-7 hours down to So. Cal.) have convinced me I’m not much for long road trips. Once I get in the car I get super-focused on getting where I’m going and impatient with any obstacles.

You sound like my husband. Personally- I want to have a sit down lunch, I want to stop at the world’s largest flea market, and I may want to check out a few historical landmarks. He just wants to get there.
What is everyone’s weather like around the country?
We have had light rain for the past several days and it has been cool. I am loving it because I know what is coming. I actually like the cool weather. Usually we have nothing but sunny skies from April through November and no rain. It makes it easy to plan outdoor activities. I did read where it is suppose warm up by the weekend.
The last 2 days have been cool and rainy. It sounds like it will get warmer but still lots of rain in the forecast for the rest of the week. I enjoy the cooler weather also but more when the sun is shining:)

Looking forward to August. Going to Hilton Head for a wedding. Actually, I can wait til August because I don’t want the summer to fly by, but it will be a nice diversion and wonderful vacation once it gets here.
Pam, the weather here in PA is a bit cooler than normal, 55 right now. It’s supposed to be in the lower 70′s tomorrow and Friday and sunshine. I really don’t like it to go any higher than 72. That’s a perfect temp for me.
I don’t know much about Hilton Head. Is it a nice place to vacation?
I am doing some housework and finally getting caught up on The Office. I know we’ve sometimes talked about it. I don’ t even know what the sex is of Jim & Pam’s baby. Those shows are next. Kathy Bates is on it! I love her. I was wanting Linda Purl to be on some more. Hope everyone’s weekend is going well.

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is a great vacation spot. Even for those of us who don’t play golf!
My late mother-in-law lived their for years and it was so much fun to visit. We inherited her home, but it was too expensive for us to maintain two houses so we sold it. Sometimes I still regret it. I’m a fan of the West Coast, probably just because I grew up here. But there’s nothing more gracious than Southern living! If you haven’t been to Hilton Head, it’s a great spot to vacation.
Pam, yes it is. I’ve never been there, but have seen the pictures from friends. My friends who are getting married there specifically chose HH because it’s really beautiful (beaches) and laid back.
In fact, it will be a beach wedding.
Lily, by now you’ve seen Linda Purl again, I hope. Kathy Bates is excellent. Except for a slightly new annoying change in Pam’s personality, I think this season of The Office has been great. I am also loving Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock. I like the Wesley Snipes character on 30 Rock.

Thanks for the info. My husband I had a wonderful trip to New England a couple of summers ago. We already have our trip planned for this summer but we would like to go back to the East Coast next year and see Washington DC again. Maybe we will venture down to Hilton Head Island. Sounds wonderful.
Ann, I was laughing so hard. I saw Linda Purl in one, but I ended up having to bounce back and forth (Hulu and Megavideo) and watched some out of sequence. I’m not done yet.
Wesley Snipes is on 30Rock? That’s the next one I have to get caught up on. I love watching them straight through.

I loved 30 Rock, too. Does anyone watch Modern Family. I think it is hilarious.
Wendy, I watch Modern Family. I heard really good things about it and started watching a few months ago.
Cameron, Manny and Phil are my favorites, but I love the whole cast.
I actually still need to watch the season finale. I loved the trip to Hawaii!
Wendy, I haven’t seen that one. I heard it is good and also another one called Parenthood. I want in on Glee. I haven’t seen a one, but from what I have heard, I will love it. I don’t know what I was doing that I missed all the good tv. I know I was busy for awhile and I think I just kept flipping on Everybody Loves Raymond to listen to since I couldn’t really watch. The Office(s) were fantastic. I can’t wait to see 30Rock.

I love Parenthood! I think it my all time favorite show. Season finale is this week and I am sad that it is ending.
I just realized four years ago today, we told our parents we were expecting.
