Ok, I saw all of these and thought to myself, time to add some real horror. If you want pure gore and some crazy sadistic stuff that might make you puke, no joke if you have a weak stomach you will, watch "Cannibal Holocaust". If you want a movie that gets you thinking a bit to much, "Session 9", "Secret Window", andddd "The Fourth Kind". If you want an all around amazing horror movie.. "The Blair Witch Project" was a landmark film, not to scary but very remarkable. Do some research on the Blair Witch and the myth and legends and stories surrounding it. "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" actually kept me up at night. Watch it with the lights off and in your bedroom ALL ALONE. The volume was up quite a bit. Scared the crap outta me. If your freaked out by Clowns but want a good movie "It" was very good, until the end.... But yeah, thise were some movies I liked. Not scary, at least not to me except Emily Rose that is. Watch em.

Oh, you're right; "The Ring" is scary. The images in the video are all vaguely (some explicitly) disturbing, and the little girl is creepy. I've heard the original Japanese version is better, but I've never seen it.

Most scary movies, I find just sort of gory. The most recent movie that I found scary was The Ring. For some resaon, that short video in the movie was really creepy. After I saw that movie , I would wash my hair in the shower with my eyes open.

I've mentioned before that "The Blair Witch Project" nearly gave me a heart attack when I saw it in the theater. I don't see many scary movies, and hardly ever actually on the big screen, and it was intense. It still creeps me out to think about it, but it doesn't really scare me, though if I were in the woods and thinking about it I think it would.

Another one I saw on DVD a few years ago - "Identity" - it's really more of a psychological thriller once you figure out what's going on, but it's very creepy.

I remenber seeing "Dracula" with my mother when I was about 8. It scared me silly. I can't remember what version it was only that it was in "Techno-Color". LOL

Halloween was probably the last scary movie I saw. I really don't like them. My daughter loves them though, she got that from her father. Ha
