Since more than one person in my life has said “the only stupid question is the one you don’t ask”, I’d like to ask. Is there a way to tell when an article on this site has a relatively new comment, just not one of the last 5 that always display? I’ve noticed that sometimes there are people who revisit old articles and say something I wouldn’t want to miss, but I’ve probably missed lots of them because their comment cycles off the main page before I revisit the site. Just wondering if I’ve missed something obvious.
Hi Mary,
The only way that I am aware is to check the box below the comment box “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail.” To do that though, you would have to comment on the article. I have been to quite a few sites over the past year and they all seem to be like that. I have seen where people have posted a Hi comment and stated they were just leaving a comment so they could get the rest of the comments via email. That is ok with us.
Lately we have been receiving quite a few comments on some of the older articles so I understand what you are saying.
Okay, thanks for the info Pam. I’ll keep that followup email in mind, especially if I know I’ll be away from the computer for a day or so.
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Friday!
This week has just dragged for me. Anyone else feel the same way?
February and longer days can’t come soon enough.
Anyone have anything interesting planned?
Happy Friday Anya. Hope you are dry up there . We are pretty water logged down here.
Mary NGG,
Did you ever try my spinach dip?
Yes indeed Pam, although it wasn’t until our Christmas gathering with my husband’s family, where we all bring an appetizer and a dessert. We travel a couple of hours to get there, and I thought the dip would be easy to transport. It was delicious…I’d never made one that had dill weed before, which is actually what appealed to me when I read it. My parents actually like the Knorr Leek soup as soup…it’s almost always in their pantry.
Why are weekends so darn short? I need more!
Just popping in to say I like the slide show–kudos to whoever was technologically-savvy (unlike me) enough to put it together. And can I give a mental high-five to the appearance of Condoleezza Rice, an ND grad (M.A.)?
Jasmin, the credit goes to Pam. She is good with this stuff, isn’t she?
I didn’t know that Condoleezza Rice got her MA from Notre Dame. Interesting. I just always connect her with Stanford, but that is because that’s my neck of the woods.
Hi Jasmin,
Thanks and if anyone has any pictures they would like included just email them to pam@imperfectwomen.com and I will add them.
I am a fan of Condoleezza Rice.
Anya,
I didn’t know either until sometime last year–she’s definitely smart as a whip!
I haven’t checked in to Open Discussion for a while. Just yesterday checked out the site again after being knocked out with the pressures of daily life and the massive snowstorm…just now getting back to speed.
But, I wanted to congratulate all those who write the articles and put this site together. I have read some really great articles in the last few days. There’s a plethora of knowledge all throughout each section. This is such a wonderful site and full of knowledgeable women…both writers, and regular posters.
Kudos!
Theresa, you are so nice. Hope the pressures of daily life let up so we see you often!
