The twist was somewhat expected, but the way it played out was not and I thought fitting the pieces together in retrospect gave the film a resonance that I really appreciated. My only hesitation is the run time. I have a low tolerance for movies that run over two hours. Wrap it up, people! I like Leonardo DiCaprio pretty well. He was good in <em>The Departed</em>. And even though it's different actors and directors, I'm influenced by the fact that the other two movies made from Dennis Lehane books, <em>Mystic River</em> and <em>Gone, Baby, Gone</em> are both really good (though both really grim).
