Loved the Betty White one! I met her about 20 years ago when she was in St. Louis for a Delta Society (service dog/therapy dog) convention. Nice nice lady!

I also loved the Dodge Charger one!

I just watched the Betty White/Abe Vigoda commercial for Snickers. That was great. I love her. I saw her on Kathy Griffin w/Kathy’s mom and she was hilarious. I was kind of disappointed in The Simpson’s one. I expected more.

Seeing the Who play and poor Pete Townsend have to bellow out a line he used to do in one breath, in four breaths, made me feel old. I saw them 30 years ago. Wow. And his outfit was so silly but it did remind me of going clubbing and dancing to Boy George’s Karma Chameleon in San Francisco way back when.

Watched and rooted for the Saints, they were certainly due! It’s nice to see the city of New Orleans come back. I think Mardi Gras starts early this year!
I was also happy to miss the political pro life or whatever, commercial. That is significant to me because it’s the first political or religious commercial and it opens the door, everybody in, ugh. Let’s just watch and see who else thinks they need to blow some horn next year.
I loved the commecial of the robot, sock monkey and monster who are fantasizing about their exciting life and you see it’s some toys on the back seat of a car! hilarious. I didn’t catch the car though I assuem it was some type of Hyundai. Toyota must be kicking themselves.
So sweet to see Drew Brees up there with his baby – in those giant ear guards. Kind of dangerous to have a child on their field in that mayhem but he didn’t look afraid. Some day he’ll love seeing that footage of himself. I did feel sorry for Payton Manning, my goodness he looked like his dog just died or worse. For every team that is elated by winning someone has to feel horrible. But it was a great game. Very clean and nicely done, both teams seemed to deserve to be there and it was no rout.

Pam, did you like the Brett Favre Hyundai commercial? That was cute.

Erin, I didn’t know too much about Drew Brees until the Saints made it to the Superbowl, but he sounds like a great guy who has certainly been through a lot this year.

Sean Payton showed a lot of guts.

I agree Paula. The brought back a lot of good memories. They did well for 65 and 66 year old men. More power to them. Great lighting. However, not a bad idea to have something that younger generations can relate to.

Is it me or do a lot of these commercials suck?

I like the Who, grew up on their music, they are really “Talking ‘Bout My Generation” but I think it is time to turn the half-time show back to the youngsters.
