Grandma’s Room

by Gwen Morrison

My daughter has moved back home and is now living in what we have always called “Grandma’s Room.” In the room that we knew, when looking at this house, would be perfect for Dave’s mother who stayed with us here in Atlanta during the winter months.

What Is Your Dream Job?

Confucius said, “Find a job you enjoy, and you’ll never work a day in your life.”

Some of us knew from the time we were very young what we wanted to do when we grew up. Others are still trying to figure that out.

What job do you dream of having?  Does your current job come close to that?

Is there a job out there that you would just like to do for fun that you know would not make you a whole lot of money but you would have a great time doing ?  Like dog walking or wine tasting?

Share your thoughts.

And with the demands of school, friends, sporting events, parties, and girlfriends, the two sons that still occupy our Atlanta home are rarely present. When said children are at home, I can find them behind closed bedroom doors, playing Modern Warfare with strangers met through the television (I’m not even willing to understand all of that), or texting, eating, and talking on the home phone at the same time.

The Autumn Of Her Life

By Diana

The wind was cold and dry as it brushed against her cheeks .
And even though she quickly felt the shiver of the wind flow over and around her skin,
It felt wonderful . It felt refreshing .
It made her feel alive .
