Last week, a Docket Summary concerning the custody case between Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin appeared on various blogs. This caused quite a stir with some who were ecstatic that Jon Gosselin was (apparently) moving to hold Kate Gosselin in contempt of their custody agreement. Now obviously this is an odd thing to be delighted about, but consider the source – Kate Haters.

The Blogging Know-it-All (BKIA) who is still holding firm to her contention that she passed the Bar, weighed and confirmed that the Docket Summary was proof that Jon was seeking to hold Kate in contempt.

Well, now we have a story appearing in The Examiner that refutes this assertion. The author indicates that the only reason Jon Gosselin is listed as the Plaintiff in the action is because this motion is a continuation of the custody petition that Jon filed last April. In other words, Jon has not filed a new motion to find Kate in contempt. The writer of this article does not address TMZ’s article from several days back that said Kate was seeking to hold Jon in violation.

Ok, we are just going to admit it – WE ARE STUMPED. Unfortunately, IW doesn’t have a family law attorney on staff, so we are leaving it you guys to try and figure it out.  What do you think is going on?

Several news sources, including TMZ and FoxPhilly.com, are reporting that family court judge Arthur Tilson has ordered Jon Gosselin to return $180,000 to the bank account controlled by his wife and used to pay household expenses.

Jon Gosselin has two weeks to pay up or face contempt charges.

Kate has also been instructed to submit an accounting of expenses in time for the next appearance on October 26th.
