The most happening sporting event of the year is here, NFL Super Bowl 2010. Starting on February 7, 2010 the game goes live at 6:25 PM from Sun Life Stadium, Miami. New Orleans Saints will compete against the Indianapolis Colts for the NFL championship title. This is the first time in history the Saints have made it to the Super Bowl. The Colts will be looking to add a 3rd NFL Championship. Two of the league’s greatest quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Drew Brees will lead their team to win.

Legendary rock band The Who will be performing in the Super Bowl 2010 halftime show. They most likely will be performing a mix of songs including including “Baba O’Riley,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Who Are You?” (those three make up the C.S.I. theme song trilogy), and “Pinball Wizard.” According to the NFL, 151 million viewers watch the halftime show last year. Reading around the internet I can see that there are quite a few people unhappy with the NFL’s choice for the halftime show. One blogger even wrote that , the NFL wanted to guarantee­­ that – “no matter which teams made the Super Bowl – there would be someone in the stadium older than Brett Favre.” Super Bowl XLIV will be broadcasted in 230 countries world-wide on CBS.

Besides the halftime show, the Super Bowl Ads are another entertaining reason to watch the Super Bowl (especially if you do not like football.) Many people look forward to the television ads as much as the Super Bowl. There is always plenty of controversy surrounding these ads and you can read about one of those controversies here. This year CBS is charging $2.5-million for each 30 second commercial.
