Kate Gosselin will be co-hosting The View on July 2nd. Kate was on “The View” this Wednesday to discuss her upcoming stint on “Dancing with the Stars” and rebuke rumors that she is a diva.

Later Kate co-hosted an interview with Dr. Drew Pinksy and two of his celebrity rehab patients, MacKenzie Phillips and Mindy McCready.

People Magazine exclusively reports that Kate is scheduled to release I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family on April 13 by Zondervan Publishers. According to People, the book will include prayers, excerpts from her journal and eight individual letters addressed to each one of her children.

Kate shares: “Each day the thought crosses my mind that when they get older, my kids are going to look back and think about how they were raised. I know they will have a lot of questions about things that may not make sense because they were raised so unconventionally. I don’t want them to grow up and wonder; I want them to know without a shadow of a doubt how much I love them and how much every sacrifice made was worth it for them.”

After keeping a relatively low profile the last couple of months, it was also revealed that Kate would make return appearance to co-host “The View” on March 11th.

So it appears Kate may be leaving behind the dreary winter for some exciting prospects in the spring. What are your thoughts? Will you consider buying her book? Will you be turning into “The View?”

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean, who was stripped of her crown in June (for disputed reasons; the producers of the pageant say that Prejean was in violation of her contract whereas she claims she was discriminated against because of her views on gay marriage) has settled a lawsuit she brought against the company that organizes the pageant. It’s been reported that Prejean settled the lawsuit after being shown a sex tape that she made, apparently for a boyfriend, when she was a teenager.

Prejean has been making the rounds on TV (The Hannity Show, The View, Today), and while she claims to take responsibility for the tape and regrets it, she also casts herself as the victim of the liberal media and claims that her critics are trying to “silence” her. What do you think – is she being victimized for her views, or is she responsible for at least some of the negative attention she has received?
