I have seen the show a few times and it's always hard for me to watch. Their struggles are so personal, I admire the fact they are willing to put them out there. I know many people can relate. Congrats to Amanda on her success! It's so fun to get a behind the scene's look- thanks Erin and Amanda!

What a great interview! Thank you Erin.
I became totally caught up in one season of this show and didn't watch anymore. I really liked it. The host was Caroline Rhea. I remember when I went back to watch it again, I was disappointed she wasn't on it anymore. The transformations the people went through were amazing. The only thing was that it was hard to see people voted off who could have benefited from playing. It was more emotional than say Survivor, because there were times they didn't want to vote anyone off. I don't remember the people being as young as Amanda. I wished I had watched this one, the marathon sounds incredibly difficult. What an accomplishment!

It was interesting to read how well they were taken care of during their stay. Also, the lasting positive relationships from being on the show together. Congratulations to Amanda. I loved reading this and learning about her. Very inspirational and I wish her the best.

Great interview! I have some issues with the show (I used to watch it, but not regularly, and I pretty much stopped), but I admire Amanda and the other contestants who have managed to continue on their weight loss/maintenance journeys after the show ends. Go Amanda!

Great interview. I confess, I have never watched this show but I might start now. I am glad that Amanda did not feel exploited because although I have never watched the show I am aware of what it is about and I have always wondered about that.

I am wondering if Amanda would ever do another marathon? Sounds like the first one was physically painful.

Congratulations, Amanda. Job well done.

After reading this interview, I am a huge Amanda Arlauskas fan! What an awesome young lady. She is so well-spoken and seems to have the maturity and perspective of someone who is much older (that is a compliment!)

I found the inside look into the production of the show interesting too. I guess I never thought about the fact that cell phones were taken away. Of course, as is typical with all reality shows, they hype up the drama. The fact that it is a competition makes it all the more intense, I am sure. It's nice that Amanda and Tracey could become and stay friends.

I think she mentions in a couple of places the mental and emotional aspects of trying to lose weight and I think that is sometimes overlooked. I was glad to see that addressed.

Wonderful interview.
