ABC News is reporting that “Sextuplets Take New York”, a new show featuring the Carpio family, will premiere September 14 on TLC.  Eight episodes will document the daily challenges faced by Victor and Digna Carpio, their 9-year-old son, and 22-month-old sextuplets.  The Carpios are being billed as “The Next Gosselins” and America’s first Hispanic sextuplets.

TLC also announced the September 26 premiere of “Sister Wives”, a seven episode series following Kody, a Utah salesman who shares his large home with three (soon to be four) wives, and thirteen children.  TLC president Eileen O’Neill told the New York Post that the polygamist family “intrigued us and left us with a lot of questions, and I think our audience will have similar questions.”  Polygamy is illegal in Utah.

Last but not least — “Quints by Surprise” which begins with a special on August 30 and a spinoff series is expected to start in early September. This production will feature the Jones family of Texas who are proud parents of quintuplets - four daughters and a son. They also have a six-year-old daughter named Eliot.

Controversy has surrounded TLC’s “Kate + 8″ for years, yet it continues to see high ratings.  TLC seems content  to make big families a staple of its programming.  Will you be watching?  Do you think Carpios and Jones will be able to tap into the Gosselins’ fan base?  Are you interested in watching a reality show featuring a polygamous family?  What’s your take on TLC’s fall lineup?
