My favorite part of summer = no school for our daughter. No school, no schedule, no homework, no morning rush, no 8 o’clock bedtime. I plan on spending as much time- quality time with her as I can. We will probably take a beach trip at some point- funny bc we live 5 miles from the beach! But we always go to Myrtle Beach in the summer. Getting away makes it more fun. No laundry- no cooking- just fun!
Normally, I have more time off in the summer than the rest of the year so I really look forward to it for that reason. Lazy days, swimming, a little sun, visiting my parents and getting to go to lunch with friends. Also having the time to catch up on reading.
This summer, I am looking forward to a trip my husband and I are planning. We are going to drive back to the Midwest. Something we have not done in 18 years. We usually fly. We are going to take our time and see the country side and stop at little diners to eat. We plan on catching a few pro baseball games on the way and might just catch some local summer league high school games if they catch our eye.
Favorite things about summer: long days and baseball. I love the extra light – I can come home from work and do a little relaxing gardening. I also love the opportunity to do some grilling – food just tastes better from the grill.
